Bonds, Rations, and Enlistment: World War I Posters
During World War I, the United States Government used posters as a way to disseminate messages about ways that civilians could support the war effort. These messages included prompts to buy war bonds and liberty loans, urging to limit food consumption (especially wheat and meat products), and imploring eligible men to enlist.
