The Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History serves the public by preserving the historic memory of Addison County and neighboring communities, heightening the awareness and enjoyment of the richness of our cultural legacy, and stimulating the study of connections between Vermont’s past and broader historical themes.

    Museum Hours:
    Dec. - Jan 14:
    Tues.-Sat. 10 am.-5 pm &
    Saturdays, 10 am- 5 pm. (except Dec. 24 & 31 - 10 am -1 pm)
    January 15 - February 29: Saturdays only - 10 am to 5 pm
    Spring/Summer:
    Tues.-Sat. 10 am.-5 pm. and Sun. 1-5 pm.

    Research Center Hours:
    Thru January 12: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
    Friday 1-5 p.m. &  by appointment
    January 15- February 29: by appointment only.
     We encourage appointments for doing research so that the staff can prepare for your visit in advance.
